On 8th July 2015 we held the very first ASOS Foundation Charity Golf Day at The Grove in Hertfordshire. The day started off with registration and breakfast at The Stables Bar where each of the 116 players were given their vPar tablets and goody bags which included a TaylorMade Jetspeed Hybrid Club, TaylorMade Gift Set including Tour preferred X-Balls, towel, pitch fork, hat clip and marker, a pair of Tommy Hilfiger boxers, nail varnish, valuables bag complete with tees and vouchers.
After tee off players were entertained and fed throughout the course on various holes including a Hole in One to win a Lexus car, Beat the Birdie, the High Tee Challenge with Paul Barrington, Longest Drive, an ice cream van and a Pimms hole. After the tournament the golfers headed off to The Glasshouse restaurant for a three course buffet lunch which also included a prize giving, a silent auction and a live auction including lots such as a seven night trip to Barbados, a fabulous dinner party in your own home, golf at The Grove with Nick Beighton and an amazing trip to Las Vegas!
The day raised just over £70,000 for the ASOS Foundation which has enabled them to almost complete their first ASOS Foundation-Udayan family home in Delhi, India. This will house twelve orphaned girls providing them with a safe family environment and access to a good education – a huge achievement! D&G Partners are extremely proud to have sold, produced and managed the event with the ASOS Foundation and are looking forward to an even bigger and better event next year!
