Oracle RetailWeek Awards 2013

On 14th March 2013, 1,600 of the UK’s top retailers and their business partners gathered at the Grosvenor House Hotel to celebrate the greatest achievements in UK retailing over the past year. The scale of what was achieved this past year by the sector was evident by the quality of entries that were submitted, providing a lively day for our judges back in February. And, it is testament to their expertise and the great amount of time and effort they give so freely that the panel of judges were able to come to such a deserving list of winners. Judges included Andy Clarke of Asda, Terry Duddy of Home Retail Group, Vanessa Gold of Ann Summers, Alex Gourlay of Alliance Boots and many more.

The awards evening started with a drinks reception with impressionist Rory Bremner entertaining the crowds from the very start. After the winners had been announced, the guests set about celebrating in style in the casino room and on the dance floor. on the night included John Lewis who won The Brandbank Multichannel Retailer of the Year Award and The Oracle Retailer of the Year Award, whilst Debenhams took away The International Growth Initiative of the Year Award and The ReThink Retail Technology of the Year Award. The Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Sir Philip Green with Simon Cowell doing the honours of presenting the award on stage.

D&G Partners are proud to have supported this event by selling 47 pages of advertising within the evening’s brochure and tables for the night, the sales of which helped raised vital funds for the Retail Trust.
