Oracle Retail Week Awards

On 12th March 2015, over 1,600 attendees gathered at the Grosvenor Hotel in Park Lane, London to celebrate the very best from the retail industry. Shop Direct, Primark and Argos were big winners on the night, with Shop Direct scooping three awards; The OC&C Strategy Consultants Pure-Play Etailer or the Year, The Zensar Retail Technology Initiative of the Year and The Wincanton Supply Chain Initiative of the Year Award. Primark was awarded The Michael Page Own Brand Range/Product of the Year for P.S Beauty and The Wipro International Grown Initiative of the Year Award. Argos was presented with The Serco Customer Innovation of the Year Award for their Digital Christmas Gift Guide and The HP Multichannel Retailer of the Year Award.

Other awards on the night went to B&Q (The Audit Partnership Corporate Social Responsibility Initiative of the Year), The Entertainer (The Island Pacific Speciality Retailer of the Year), Lloyds Pharmacy (The ISG Store Design of the Year), Astone Davids from Topps Tiles in Croydon (The Tata Consultancy Services Store Manager of the Year), AO.com (The Deloitte Employer of the Year) and The Hut Group (The AlixPartners Growth Retailer of the Year).

For the second year running Aldi were awarded The Heidrick and Struggles International Retailer of the Year Award. The Oracle Retailer of the Year was awarded to fashion retailer Ted Baker and the Clarity Retail Leader of the Year was won by Walgreens Boots Alliance executive vice-chairman Stefano Pessina.

The big award of the night, the Outstanding Contribution to Retail Award, was presented to Sir Ian Cheshire.

The awards evening started with a drinks reception with comedian and actor Hugh Dennis entertaining the crowds from the very start. After the winners had been announced, the guests set about celebrating in style with a band, DJ and casino.
