Oracle Retail Week Awards 2014

On 13th March 2014, over 1,700 attendees gathered at the Grosvenor Hotel in Park Lane, London to celebrate the very best from the retail industry. The big winners on the night were ASOS who triumphed in three categories as CEO Nick Robertson was crowned Retail Leader of the Year in celebration of his pioneering vision for the future of retail and e-commerce, whilst the brand won the Pure Play Etailer and International Growth Initiative categories. German discounters won big as Aldi was named Retailer of the Year and International Retailer of the Year, whilst Lidl won Own Brand Range of the Year. John Lewis continued their success from last year, scooping two awards; The nasa Marketing/Advertising Campaign of the Year and The Postcode Anywhere Multichannel Retailer of the Year. Smaller brands beat the big names this year as The Entertainer won Growth Retailer of the Year, AO.com won the Customer Service Initiative award and Screwfix was awarded Speciality Retailer.Ray Kelvin CBE, founder and chief executive, Ted Baker, was awarded for his Outstanding Contribution to Retail.
