On 16th July 2015, just over 500 guests attended the Nashy’s Ashes Ball at The Grange Hotel, Towerbridge with celebrity guests including Sir Ian Botham, Steven Finn, Andrew Strauss OBE, Angus Fraser, Jeff Thomson and Nick Compton.The evening began with a champagne reception where guests could peruse prizes from the Silent Auction before taking their seats for a delicious three course meal. Tom Binns took to the stage as Ivan Brackenbury doing his Hospital Radio DJ set which had the crowd in stitches before Roger Dakin chaired a fantastic Q&A session with Sir Ian Botham, Andrew Strauss OBE, Jeff Thomson and Angus Fraser.

BBC’s Charlie Ross conducted yet again fantastic main auction raising vital funds for Shooting Star Chase – lots included a private box at the ATP Tennis, a private jet trip with Jose Mourinho and the Chelsea Squad, Rugby World Cup Opening Ceremony tickets, a holiday to Barbados and the Maldives and a three day trip aboard a yacht at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

To fill the dance floor BRIT Award nominees ‘The Feeling’ took to the stage for a set which included hits such as ‘Love It When You Call’ and ‘Never Be Lonely’. DJ Benny Blanco capped off the evening with a fantastic dance set before the after party at Platinum Lace.

Monies raised from the event have been donated to Shooting Star Chase, a charity caring for local families with a child or teenager with a life limiting condition. They are no average charity and need £25,000 per day and over £9 million annually to survive and are currently supporting over 600 families across London, Surrey & West Sussex.
