House of Fraser Annual Charity Event

On 23rd July 2015, 144 golfers took to the stunning Championship golf course at The Grove, Hertfordshire to take part in the 12th House of Fraser Annual Charity Event.The day kicked off with breakfast and registration at The Stables restaurant with players picking up their goody bags which this year included a TaylorMade Jetspeed Hybrid Club, a Tommy Hilfiger Polo Shirt and a TaylorMade Gift Set including Tour preferred X-Balls, Towel, Pitch Fork, Hat Clip and Marker.

Players then took to the course where they were took part in various competitions and entertainment including a Hole in One to win a Lexus NX provided by Lexus Edgware Road, Nearest the Pin, Longest Drive, Beat the Birdie and current World trick shot champion Geoff Swain. Players were also given the opportunity on hole 16 to try out the latest technology with number one golf performance brand TaylorMade.

After golf guests enjoyed some chill out time with beers whilst listening to the sounds of Jazz band, ‘Dan Darling and his lovely Chaps’ before prize giving with headline sponsor Philips taking home the coveted ‘Cheryl Duncan’ trophy.

Guests then made their way down to the Amber Suite where they were joined by over 230 evening dinner guests, taking the total for the day to just under 400. The dinner was hosted by the fantastic duo, Amanda Davies and Chris Hollins who kept the crowd entertained late into the night with the help of various games and comedy acts.

The main auction on the night raised a staggering £60,000 and was conducted by BBC’s Charlie Ross with lots including golf at The Grove hosted by Nigel Oddy, a holiday to The Maldives and Barbados, lunch or dinner for eight with a celebrity at San Carlo or Signor Sassi, a signed Coldplay Guitar and a company corporate team building day at Silvermere Golf Club.
