The day commenced with golf registration; all players were given a packed goody bag filled with luxurious goodies such as a Tom Tom GPS watch, a Tommy Hilfiger wallet and a box of five fantastic Tommy Hilfiger socks – then it was on to the serious stuff.
The players teed off to a shotgun start, and were entertained throughout the course with competitions from the Longest Drive to Beat the Pro; there was plenty to keep everyone amused, fed and watered throughout the challenging course. For those who were taking the competition more seriously – vPar tablets were on hand to keep everyone updated on each team’s progress throughout the course firing the competition further!
This year ASOS decided to continue the great day long into the night with the introduction of a gala dinner. The stunning Walled Gardens provided a beautiful backdrop to the champagne reception, where guests were treated to vibrant entertainment from Bolly Babes & Break Boys, followed by the jaw-dropping Afrobats who juggled, somersaulted, and limbo-ed under fire to the delight of guests! Both acts gave a nod to the continents that the ASOS Foundation currently operate valuable projects supporting local communities.
Everybody participated in Heads & Tails, the Silent Auction and most importantly the Main Auction hosted by the one and only Charlie Ross contributed massively to the final fundraising figure of £185,000! It goes without saying that after a night of dancing to the outstanding line up of Go West, Tony Hadley and ASOS’s own band Zed’s Dead the ASOS Foundation definitely struck Gold!
